Dr. Kenneth J. Devries

Dr. Kenneth J. Devries died on March 18, 2005, at the age of 51 years after a two year battle with lung cancer. He was loving husband of Joanne and father to Laureen and Mark. Ken was born in Winnipeg, Canada. He went to medical school in Manitoba. Joanne, Laureen and Ken moved to the United States where Ken started his family practice career in Springfield, Illinois. The family moved to Madison, Wisconsin in 1985 where Ken started practicing in Waunakee with UW Health. Mark was born that year also. Ken worked in Waunakee until his diagnosis in 2003. He never smoked and fought hard to try and beat his illness. The Drive for Hope helps his family carry on his memory and work toward new treatments and diagnosis.
